Commando turn guns on ZRP

ARMY side Commando Bullets turn their guns on ZRP Morris in the World Navi Northern Region Division One soccer league tomorrow at Commando.
Commando are aiming a top four finish and their coach Wilson Kabango said their mission was still on course despite a 0-1 loss to Karoi United in their last game.

“We are taking all our remaining games seriously and this is the first one, so we want to win. It’s a game between uniformed forces so it’s tricky but we want three points to achieve our goal.

“Morale is a bit low but in soccer you don’t always win so we are trying to find our winning formula. We will try to put 120 percent effort to win.

“Morris is a good side, they have been losing but they are playing well. They are just unlucky so we are taking the game seriously,” said Kabango.

The army side will be missing the services of striker, Grey Kufandada, who is sick and the pair of Leroy Muchenje and Tanyaradzwa Mandizvidza due to injuries.

“It won’t affect us because we have the likes of Nqobile Mafu and Eddie Nyika, they will carry the day for us because they are also regular players,” said Kabango. Commando are in sixth place. ZRP are fighting relegation and coach, John “Toto” Ncube, said they need to start picking points.

“We are taking our remaining games like Cup finals. We are not safe and we must start collecting points now.
“We have been losing, we need to pull up our socks.

“We have gone for four games without a win. Morale has been low because the team was not winning and it’s a tall order for us as coaches to motivate the players.

“There are no easy games in Division One but we need to start picking points and the earlier the better for us,” said Ncube.
