For far too long, self-styled prophets have preyed on desperate women, brainwashing them with promises of love, wealth, and marriage. These predators manipulate their victims’ faith and vulnerability, turning sacred spaces into hunting grounds.
Let us be clear. A man who orders women to strip naked, fondles their bodies, and claims to “dip his manhood in holy water” as part of a cleansing ritual is not a prophet. He is a rapist hiding behind a Bible.
The women involved may think they consented, but true consent is impossible when you are under the influence of manipulation and fear. These predators twist Scripture to suit their dark agenda, trapping their victims in a web of spiritual abuse.
The Bible itself warns us about false prophets. Matthew 7:15 says: “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” This describes these so-called healers perfectly. They wear white robes and carry Bibles, but behind closed doors, they prey on the very flock they claim to shepherd.
Worse still, the health risks are staggering. If this man is “helping” multiple women in the same way, what happens when one of them has an STI or HIV? This is not just spiritual corruption — it is a public health disaster in the making. Imagine a single man sexually engaging with dozens of women under the guise of healing. One infection could quickly spread through families and communities, leaving devastation in its wake.
Victims must understand this: you are not the problem. You are not cursed. You are being exploited. Love cannot be bought with a ritual, and faithfulness cannot be forced through sexual acts with a so-called prophet.
It is time to break the silence. Women who have been abused must find the courage to speak out and report these criminals to the police. Silence only empowers them. By reporting, you protect not just yourself, but other women who might be lured into the same trap.
In Ephesians 5:11, we are urged: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.” This is exactly what must be done here. The darkness festering in these bushes must be dragged into the light of justice.
Authorities must act decisively. These cults are not just spiritual threats, they are centres of sexual violence and disease. The bush where these rituals happen should be cleared, and the perpetrators arrested.
To the women of Pumula South and beyond: you are worth more than this. God does not need you to undress before a man for Him to bless you. The only cleansing you need is truth, courage, and justice.
This is not worship. This is war — a war for the dignity of our mothers, sisters, and daughters. And it is a war we must fight together.
