The figures, which were captured in the latest Chitungwiza full council minutes, were disclosed by acting town clerk Mr Fungai Mbetsa in response to inquiries by councillors.
The disciplinary authority that charged US$90 per hour per each member took five days to conclude Mr Tanyanyiwa’s case and three for Ms Gumbo. There has been keen interest to fill Mr Tanyanyiwa’s post with 60 applicants registering their interest. But only nine were interviewed, with the successful candidate expected to start work next month.
About 188 candidates applied for the top four vacant posts at the council.
Only 19 were shortlisted for interviews, which were held this week.
Mr Mbetsa said his resuscitation team for Chitungwiza was winding off its tour of duty and was racing against time to ensure the senior executive posts were filled.
