Companies urged to attend ZITF

The international premier show will run from 24-28 April under the theme, “Investing locally, reaping globally”.
In an interview last week business executive Dr Fredrick Kasese urged companies in the province to attend the fair in their             numbers so that they showcase their wares to an international audience.
“It is prudent for businesses from Masvingo to go and rub shoulders with others at the international business show. This will create opportunities and improve their enterprises. They can form strategic synergies with international and other local business partners,” said Dr Kasese.
He said there tended to be a lot of lessons from sharing a stage with other businesses and companies could add value to their existence.
“Meeting new business partners will make cross-pollination of ideas between people in business easier. There is also chance to copy business best practices because of the nature of the trade                  fair. The fair attracts almost every businessman within this universe and that alone will be a great opportunity for local businesses to exchange business ideas with international partners,” he said.
Dr Kasese said organisations that represented businesses in the province were supposed to play a pivotal role in getting local companies apply for exhibition space at the fair.
“Great Zimbabwe chamber of businesses should play a very important role in raising awareness to various businesses in Masvingo on the merits of taking part in a trade fair of                                 such magnitude. Every member who subscribes to the           organisation should take part, if ever they want to be serious entrepreneurs.”
He said companies would get business exposure and accrue benefits in the process like getting credit lines or even lucrative supply chains and engaging people beyond their comfort zones to do business with.
Dr Kasese underscored the need to have a business indaba so that serious businesses can be made aware of the benefits of taking part at ZITF.
