A COMPANY director lost his firearm, US$12,000 in cash and other valuables, including two television sets, when thieves broke into his house.
Onismus Sosa, 44, of Tynwald North, was attending a church service in Warren Park when the thieves ransacked his house.
When he returned home, he realised that the sliding gate lock had been damaged and the front dining room window was broken.
Further checks at the house revealed that a Sony 50-inch television set and a Toshiba 43-inch television set, which were in the dining room, were missing.
He proceeded to his main bedroom and noticed that his firearm, without a magazine, had also been stolen as well cash amounting to US$12 000.
He noticed that four formal suits, a Lenovo laptop, a Dell laptop, HP Corei5, a Samsung tablet, and two lithium batteries were stolen.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case.
“Police are investigating an unlawful entry and theft case in Tynwald.
“The complainant lost goods and cash,” said Insp Chakanza.
