MDC-T organising secretary Mr Nelson Chamisa yesterday said over 900 candidates would participate in this weekend’s primary elections to contest in parliamentary and local government elections.
“Everything is now in place and it’s all systems go. We have massive response from aspiring candidates and those who failed to qualify to take part in the elections should not lose heart as they will be deployed elsewhere within the party,” he said.
In Dzivarasekwa, Solomon Madzore will face Aleck Masomere and Lucia Matibenga will battle it out against Fatima Madamombe in Kuwadzana, while Angeline Chimanga and Mavis Java will face Paurina Mpariwa in Mufakose.
