Cop neglecting kids

H-Metro Reporter

A cop was yesterday dragged to the Harare Civil Court by his ex-wife, who was claiming US$100 in maintenance.

Shelly Douglas accused ex-husband, Wellington Ndalamo, a cop, of neglecting his three children.

Wellington offered US$30 and told the court that he would continue paying school fees for them.

“I have three other children, so I am offering US$30” said Wellington.

But Shelly said she wanted more.

“That is not enough. He does not buy clothes, uniforms or stationery for the children.

“We have a child of ill-health and when the boy gets sick, he does not visit or pay any medical bills.”

Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini ordered Wellington to pay US$60, continue paying school fees and buy uniforms for the children twice a year.
