A police officer stationed at Nkulumane Police Station in Bulawayo has found himself on the wrong side of the law after he allegedly raped his maid while his wife was at work.
Last Friday, the police officer (name withheld to protect the identity of the victim) came home from work and found his helper alone. It is said he removed his uniform and wore his casual clothes before he went to the kitchen.
A source said he had food, and after that, he pulled a shocker as he strayed from lawful lines. He allegedly grabbed the housemaid from behind. The unsuspecting maid screamed, however, being on a mission, the cop was not disturbed as he allegedly covered her mouth with his hand while dragging her to the living room.
Upon getting into the living room he threw her on the sofa before he reportedly carried out the sexual attack. After that he threatened to kill her if she disclosed the ordeal to his wife, said the source.
The traumatised maid later summoned courage and phoned her aunt and told her about the sexual attack. The aunt, the source said, phoned the cop’s wife who when she arrived from work accompanied the maid to Tshabalala Police Station and reported the incident. The incident was recorded under case number RRB5967700. Bulawayo Police Spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube could not immediately comment on the matter.
