The donation which included Mathematics practice books, English coaching books, English readers books, magazines, skills books, story books and two soccer balls were handed over to Nyamandlovu Primary School headmaster, Mr Mncedisi Nyathi, at Mr Zulu’s residence in Bulawayo. Mr Nyathi said the books will go a long way in assisting the pupils.

“The donation will really go a long way in assisting our learners in their studies. I saw that there are some Maths practice books and English readers’ books that will benefit our learners in practicing Maths and English,” said Mr Nyathi.

Former Highlanders team manager Mr Lawrence Phiri said Mr Zulu’s donation is in line with their association’s goals of giving back to the community.

“As the Highlanders former coaches association we realised that Tsano’s programme goes hand in hand with our association’s goal to give back to the community as they are the ones who made us legends by buying tickets to our matches. This is one of the many ways of saying thank you to our community,” said Mr Phiri.

Mr Zulu who is also the founder of the Sanitary Pads Movement (SPM) which seeks to donate sanitary pads to girls from disadvantaged backgrounds said he was able to make the donation with the help of some schools in Bulawayo.

“I think I should mention that we also made this donation with the help of some schools in Bulawayo including Mr Beck from Carmel Primary school, Petra High school and Mrs Huni from Orap,” said Mr Zulu.
