along Speke Avenue since the beginning of this month to evade the ex-wife.
The couple — which divorced 11 years ago— has one child. The ex-wife, Zvanyadza Maridza did not attend court.
Narrating his ordeal, Jacob told the court that he is now living in fear of Maridza due to her violent nature. “I recently paid her a visit intending to see our child when my wife had travelled to South Africa and we ended up being intimate. She then came back to the matrimonial home she left 11 years ago with her belongings and the child.”
Since Maridza moved in, Jacob said he is at no peace with her. His wife has since moved out while he wanders in the streets.
Magistrate Mr Milton Serima told Jacob that the court could not ascertain why he was running away like that.
“This court cannot evict her because we do not know whether she is the first wife or not. Apply for eviction and in the meantime take your new wife and go back to your house.”
