A star studded field of seven marathon runners is set to battle stride for stride over a gruelling distance of 2 000m to determine the winner of the 2019 encounter of the Breeders Champion Cup Listed race this afternoon at Borrowdale Racecourse.
From this field focus will be on trainer Kirk Swanson and his team led by of jockey Wesley Marwing on board Heir Line. This runner comes into this race meeting with a career record of five wins and four place finishes from a total of fifteen appearances on the turf.
What is of interest about his runner is the fact that he is surrounded by a field yet to break the tape on a similar assignment the furthest they have gone being just 200m less.
