HARARE City Council’s Education, Health, Housing and Licensing Committee on Sunday visited the city’s vocational training centers, where they identified a pressing need for modern machinery and functional equipment.
Committee Chairperson, Cllr Blessing Muroyiwa, who led the tour, assured that the city is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by these centers.

“We plan to partner with organisations that have expressed interest in renovating and donating equipment to our vocational training centers,” he said.
“Additionally, we will prioritise installing solar power systems to mitigate electricity challenges.”

Acting Principal of Mbare Vocational Training Centre, Dowart Kofumani, expressed gratitude for the committee’s intervention.
However, he emphasised the urgent need for renovations and modern equipment to enhance the center’s capabilities.
