THE above words made sense for a New Lobengula woman when her married boyfriend teamed up with his wife to make sure she was pushed out of his life for good.
Portia Velaphi was issued a red card by her married boyfriend Leo Khumalo of Old Lobengula but was not amused and even tried to stab Khumalo threatening to kill him and his wife Shelly Mbewe.
The couple, realising their lives were in danger, sought a protection order against the troublesome girlfriend.
a�?Portia was my girlfriend and when I told her that I was no longer interested in her, she threatened to kill me.
a�?At one point she tried to stab me with a screwdriver and was restrained by passersby. She is even threatening to kill my wife saying she will also hire hitmen,a�? said Khumalo in his application.
On the other hand, Khumaloa��s wife also applied for a protection order against Velaphi.
a�?She phones threatening to kill me,a�? she said.
Velaphi admitted to the allegations levelled by Khumalo but denied threatening to kill his wife.
a�?I phoned her asking for my money which my boyfriend, her husband had borrowed. Khumalo is the one who gave me his wifea��s phone number,a�? she said.
Presiding magistrate Stephen Ndhlovu granted the peace orders in favour of Khumalo and Mbewe.
Ndlovu was barred from communicating with the couple for a period of 12 months. .
