In the event he fails to pay the fine he will spend 30 days behind bars.
Kudakwashe Chinzou (24) of Unit C in Chitungwiza was given up to February 28 next year to pay the fine.
He admitted to contravening the provisions of the Road Traffic Act, which criminalises driving a vehicle without a licence when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Ms Olivia Mariga.
Chinzou told the court that he committed the crime since he had no one to take him home after his driver was arrested at Makoni Police Station for committing a traffic offence.
Prosecutor Ms Caroline Kugarakuripi told the court that Chinzou was driving a Nissan Caravan with registration number ABJ5543 along Mharapara Road near Population Service Station in Chitungwiza when he lost control of the caravan and veered of the road.
When he was asked to produce his particulars, he told the police that he had no licence leading to his arrest.
