Zimbabwe’s pride, Courtney Jongwe, is set to take on the world stage this Saturday at the Miss World 2025 grand finale, to be held at the Hyderabad International Exhibition Centre (HITEX) in India.

Over the past month, contestants from over 100 countries have engaged in a series of rigorous activities designed to test not only their grace and poise, but their intellect, resilience, and social impact. These included the sports challenge, talent showcase, head-to-head challenge, and the top model competition.

This marks the third time India is hosting the global beauty pageant, having previously done so in 1996 and 2024.

Courtney has already made her mark by securing a spot in the top 20 of the Multimedia Challenge. Her growing global presence is a source of inspiration back home.

In an interview with Zimpapers Entertainment Hub, her management team confirmed that she is laser-focused on Saturday’s final showdown.
“Courtney is currently immersed in intense preparations for the grand finale and cannot take interviews at the moment,” a team member said. “However, what we can say is that she is fully prepared and proudly representing Zimbabwe with confidence and determination.”

Through a heartfelt post on social media, Courtney reflected on her journey so far: “Days may pass, but memories never fade; they linger like echoes in the heart, reminding us of laughter shared and moments cherished. I’m thankful for the memories created. Looking back, my journey at Miss World will forever be among my most precious moments.”

As the world turns its eyes to Hyderabad for the coronation night, Telangana is also taking the opportunity to showcase its rich cultural heritage and progressive vision. During boot camp, contestants explored the region’s vibrant history through curated tours that included visits to iconic landmarks like the majestic Charminar, the Unesco-listed Ramappa Temple, and Pochampally’s weaving villages famed for their intricate Ikat textiles.

The glittering red carpet event begins at 5:30pm (CAT 9:30pm) on Saturday, followed by the much-anticipated coronation gala. Whether she returns with the crown or not, Courtney Jongwe has already won the hearts of many, and proved herself as a powerful force for change.
