Government has urged Zimbabweans to embrace the national Covid-19 vaccination programme which will be intensified as the country battles an increasing number of cases.

Vice President Constantino Chiwenga this morning said it was imperative for all Zimbabweans to cooperate in the fight against the pandemic to ensure the country does not continue recording more deaths.

“We all need to fight this invisible enemy and for us to win the war, we must all cooperate. Government has procured vaccines and will continue to procure vaccines. We want everyone to be vaccinated starting with all our borders then we will go into all the hotspots and our two metropolitan cities Bulawayo and Harare,” he said.

He said vendors at Mbare Musika, Renkini in Bulawayo and other market places would have to be vaccinated for them to be allowed access to their tables as a way of protecting them and their customers.

The VP was speaking at the handover of 57 PCR testing machines for Covid-19, HIV viral load, TB and testing of 15 other diseases from Satewave Technologies.
