Covid-19- recoveries now 3 074 154 in Africa

As Covid -19 continues to affect the globe Africa has now recorded 3 074 154 recoveries.

According to Africa Centres for Diseases Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), the continent recorded 3 579 368 cumulative cases and 91 524 deaths as at February 1.

Southern Africa had 1 497 951 recoveries, 1 708 718 cases and 49 224 deaths.

South Africa had 1 456 309 cumulative cases with deaths 44 399 and 1 306 022 recoveries.

Zambia had a cumulative 55 042 cases while deaths stood at 780 with 43 394 recoveries recorded.

Namibia had 34 168 cumulative cases, 353 deaths and 32 564 recoveries.

In Zimbabwe, the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC), said the country recorded a cumulative 33 548 Covid -19 cases, 26 583 recoveries and 1 234 deaths at February 1.

The country’s national recovery rate stands at 78 percent.
