CRUISERS FOR THE BOSSES! ZITF Bigwigs Land US$400K Surprise on Workers’ Day…Wicknell delivers two VXR beasts as “thank you” gifts

By Staff Reporter
JUST when they thought Workers’ Day was winding down — BOOM! Two brand-new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser VXRs landed in the laps of ZITF bosses like thunder from the luxury car gods.
Local businessman Wicknell Chivayo, known for his flamboyant generosity, pulled a classic “Big Spender” move by gifting ZITF Board Chairman Busisa Moyo and CEO Dr Nicholas Ndebele with the monster SUVs — each worth a jaw-dropping US$200,000!
Talk about industrialisation on wheels!

The surprise came late Wednesday afternoon as Chivayo, still buzzing from the success of last week’s 65th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), posted an explosive appreciation message on social media.
“From the moment I stepped into the exhibition grounds, it was immediately evident that the organisers had curated an event of remarkable distinction,” he gushed.
With over 800 exhibitors from 30+ countries, the “Blue Sapphire Edition” of the ZITF has been widely hailed as a game-changer — and Chivayo clearly agreed.
But it’s what he did next that really turned heads.
Chivayo revealed that Dr Ndebele once jokingly said if he ever bought anyone at ZITF a car, not to forget him — and Wicknell, never one to miss a moment, took it literally!

“To recognise the outstanding leadership, energy, and sheer excellence demonstrated by the ZITF Company, I am pleased to hand over TWO brand new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series VXR vehicles,” said Chivayo.
The fully-paid rides are ready for pick-up at Faramatsi Motors in Harare — a petrolhead’s paradise.
ZITF’s management was left speechless, while social media erupted with applause, envy, and questions like: “Who’s next, Wicknell?”
Presidents Emmerson Mnangagwa and Daniel Chapo of Mozambique also graced the fair, but it’s the “Land Cruiser drop” that has stolen the post-ZITF limelight.
Now that’s what you call executive recognition… in top gear!
