CRUSHED HEAD, MISSING PARTS

A BODY of an unidentified man was on Monday found with missing parts along Simon Muzenda Road.

The head of the deceased was crushed and the chest had been opened.

The genitals had also been removed and some parts of the brain were on the street and a used condom was also found beside the body.

Some intestines were found on the other side of the island, where the body was found.

Part of the human intestines were also found in the flower pot at the corner George Silundika and Simon Muzenda.

Some blood stains were seen splattered on the slab of a local hotel, about 30m from the body, a huge stone, weighing around 10 kgs, was found stained with blood, close to the body.

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case saying investigations have since begun.

“Police are investigating a murder case where a male body was found at an island along Simon Muzenda Road,” said Insp Chakanza.

“No particulars were found and the body was ferried to Parirenyatwa mortuary.”

Insp Chakanza also confirmed the suspected murder of Peter Kalinde, aged 33, of St Mary’s, Chitungwiza.

Post-mortem results indicated that the cause of death was due to severe head trauma caused by a blunt object and a skull base fracture.

It is suspected that the deceased could have been assaulted at Chigovanyika Shopping Centre.
