THE historic Bulawayo Cultural and Heritage Tourism launch which had been set for Saturday has been postponed to next month. The festival which will see the re-launch of the Lobengula Inxwala Grounds has been moved to a date yet to be advised. In an interview, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority southern region manager, Novuyo Mathonsi confirmed the development.

“The launch of the festival has been moved to July and we are still working on a date.

“I have sent a proposal for a date to ZTA communications manager, Sugar Chagonda who will take it up with the Chief Executive Officer, Karikoga Kaseke to then confirm or give us another alternative date.” said Mathonsi.

Amakhosi director, Cont Mhlanga who is spearheading the preparations of the launch said all other programmes remained unchanged. He said the event had been postponed to adequately prepare and get more sponsors.

“Nothing changes; the programme remains the same and the postponement allows more stakeholders to participate in the festival,” said Mhlanga.
