TWO men opened fire on a group of foreign currency dealers on Boxing Day, killing one man and wounding three others, a court heard.
Issac Mlambo, 26, originally from Chipache Village in Mozambique, shot indiscriminately at the currency  traders at Ngundu Business Centre in Masvingo during a robbery, say prosecutors.

Tapera Chibaya died after taking a hit to the chest from a CZ pistol following the late afternoon gun rampage outside Mapuvire store, the Mwenezi Magistrates’ Court heard last week.

The robbers took away an undisclosed amount of money and airtime from their victims, said Zibusiso Mnkandla for the prosecution.
But Mlambo was cornered by members of the public who effected a citizen’s arrest as his accomplice fled.

Mlambo, who worked in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province, was not asked to plead when he appeared before provincial magistrate Mr Timeon Makunde charged with murder.

Police are looking for a second man, whose name has not been released, said to have been Mlambo’s accomplice.
