CUT YOUR LOSSES

DIOGO DALOT said he hoped Manchester United could finally help give a haircut to a fan who vowed to keep growing his afro until the team won five games in a row.

United won back-to-back games under boss Ruben Amorim for the first time after a famous 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

United next face Brighton next weekend before trips to Nottingham Forest and Tottenham. And the Red Devils would have to win all three games to ensure supporter Frank Ilett gets a trim. Ilett started growing out his hair last October to lift fans’ spirits after a turbulent start to the season that saw Erik ten Hag sacked before Amorim replaced him.

As Amorim struggled to steady the ship in his first season, Ilett’s hair kept growing and there was little hope of cutting it after a rocky start to this campaign too. – Sun
