SILKY-VOICED afro-fusion artiste, Cynthia Mare among other rising musicians, will headline festive season musical concerts slated for Golden Peacock Villa Hotel starting from tonight (Thursday).
The posh hotel’s manager, Willard Madhombiro said the NAMA 2014 Outstanding Female Musician would be performing live tonight while rising dancehall crooner Dobba Don will perform on December 26.
“A lot of activities are lined up from tonight. Christmas carols parade for children will be held at the restaurant and swimming pool areas while on Christmas day, there would be a braai party which is open to everyone. There will be a traditional Christmas buffet where succulent meals such as roast turkey will be available on the menu. DJ Lampy and Satchie will clash on the turntables tonight and tomorrow in the Glow Bar.
“We urge people to come in numbers and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in style. This is an ideal moment to spend precious and memorable moments with family and loved ones,” said Madhombiro.
Dobba Don is fancied for fine tracks such as Mudendere and Pose paunowaina. He is expected to prove to his legion of fans why he is one of the most sought after upcoming artistes in the country.
Mare, in an interview, vowed to put up a memorable show. Scores of people expected to throng the spacious venue will definitely look forward to hearing Mare’s wonder song, Zuva Rimwe, a tribute to her late mother, Enita Charewa-Chamboko, who succumbed to cancer.
