DAD OF 11 WANTS MORE KIDS

DESPITE being called the most fertile vendor in Bulawayo, 38-year-old father of 11, Lindani Gumbo, says he wants to have even more children.

Lindani, who sells various wares on the streets of Bulawayo, makes most of his money through playing pool at Palace Hotel.

He has established himself as the undisputed pool champion and earned himself the nickname, Sir Palace.

Lindani’s star shone beyond Palace Hotel on Sunday when he won the men’s Carling Black Label National Pool Championships in Masvingo, taking home US$1 500 and a brand-new pool table and stick.

He said he intends to use the pool table to start a small business in Bulawayo so that he can have some consistent income.

Lindane has three kids with his current wife, and eight others with different women, and he still wants more.

He said his dream is to one day build an empire and share it with his offspring.

Born and bred in Pelandaba, Lindani said he will share his winnings with all his 11 children.

“I love all of my children and I work so hard to provide for them despite them having different mothers.

“I want to thank God for opening doors for me to win the National Pool Championships.

“I will make sure that all of my 11 children get something from the prize money and then buy a second pool table to start my pool business.

“At 38, I can still have more children and take care of them,” he said.

Lindani feels that his win in Masvingo means he can no longer be ignored for national team selection.

“I will continue to perfect my skills so that I force my way into the national team and represent the country.

“I feel this is my time and nothing will stand in my way,” he said.
