Dad runs over child (19 months)

He said the father Mr Itai Matinyadza knocked down his son Michael while reversing unaware he was following him.
“Itai thought that the baby was already asleep and while reversing he unknowingly knocked down the child,” he said.

He said the child later died at Chitungwiza Hospital after sustaining serious head injuries.
“Even the postmortem showed that his head had been damaged badly,” he said.

“It’s a very sad and tragic incident that has shocked everyone here.”
He said the couple were deeply affected by the tragedy.
