UPCOMING sungura musician, David Daelo, is a man on a mission.
He is one of the future stars in the genre, judging by his new album.
The 38-year-old, who grew up in Trelawney, is now pursuing a solo career after leaving Zvishavane Sounds.
To date, the musician has formed his band called Batanidzo.
The group has since recorded three albums with their latest release titled Kumberi Kwekumberi.
It is the offering that is beginning to open doors for him as he is beginning to win shows with various promoters.
“My passion for music started at a young age and it led me to join Zvishavane Sounds as a rhythm guitarist.
“I have three albums to my name. My music has only started to get an ear and is being appreciated now.
“This has been a big motivation to me. I am grateful to the fans for the support.
“The calls for shows have also increased, the music is going out there and is reaching the people.
“Many thanks go out to my management team for the hard work they are putting in,” he said.
The other albums Daelo has recorded are Zvine Chimiro and ZvaMwari Hazvipikiswe.
