Three of the organisers, namely Aldrian, Alexander and Kevin, expressed dissatisfaction over the criteria used to select the nominees, blaming the duo of Tendai C and Tendayi, who are managing the hip-hop Unleashed magazine.
In an interview with The Herald, Aldrian said he was devastated by the action by Tendayi, better known as Prometheus, and his team managing Zim Hip-hop Unleashed. “What those two guys did cannot be tolerated. We spoke about it as a team, but Tendai and Prometheus went on to publish what we did not agree on.
“Actually, it is not commercially viable, they need to grow up,” fumed Aldrian.
Apparently, the organisers are divided into two camps, with the trio threatening to pull out if they fail to come to terms by the end of the month.
“The level of disrespect cannot be tolerated and we will surely pull out if the issue is not amicably solved by October 25”, said Alexander.
Tendai has refuted claims by his rivals about fake nominees, insisting that the published nominees were correct. “What you saw on our online magazine is what we are going to work with. There will be no changes whatsoever,” Tendai declared.
