CONTROVERSIAL Zim dancehall artiste, Souljah Love, might be beginning to think he is the next best thing after “Terrific Tuesdays” after he yet again snubbed another gig in Gweru.
The Ndini uya uya hit maker, who has become infamous for standing up fans, was billed to perform at the Midlands Hotel on Saturday night.
It was disclosed to Chronicle Showbiz that the Hauite chanter had been multi-booked for performances in Shurugwi, Zvishavane and the city of progress all within one night.

“We were assured that he (Souljah Love) would perform here after his shows in Shurugwi and Zvishavane but it seems he and the promoter took us all for a ride because Souljah Love didn’t show up and the promoter disappeared and ignored our calls,” said a member of staff from the hotel who opted for anonymity as he had not cleared to speak to the press.

Fans who braved the cold to attend the show expressed outrage over the conduct of the artiste.
“For an artiste to snub a show like this without any explanation or apology shows the highest level of unprofessionalism and a complete disregard for us the fans who if truth be told are his meal ticket,” fumed a reveller who only identified himself as Kudezera .

Tafadzwa Maridhadhi, the show’s promoter, could not be reached for comment as he had switched off his phone.
Meanwhile, another dancehall artiste, Seh Calaz, failed to live up to his billing after he performed for a measly 28minutes to a handful of fans.

Both shows were, however, salvaged by Gweru talent Legion who proved that he’s a force to be reckoned with after delivering a flawless performance.
