BUDDING dancehall artiste, Killa Trilla, whose stage name is Killa Trilla has finally found the missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle after five years of toiling and is now one of the hottest properties in the Zim-dancehall industry. Despite financial constraints that attacked his promising music career left, right and centre when he started the journey in 2009, the Chitungwiza-born artiste who can now safely fit in the shoes of Kinnah, Lady Squanda and Maggical is scheduled to commence a whirlwind tour locally and abroad promoting his music.
At 22, Killa has unusually charmed the hearts of many because of his uplifting and soul soothing tracks laden with meaning and synonymous of gospel music.
The youthful artiste will tomorrow (Saturday) perform at popular entertainment joint, Club Mandisa before he travels to South Africa for a family show with popular producer and singer, Silent Killer popularly known as Elder Musekiwa.
Early next month, he will again travel to Mzanzi for a joint show with raunchy dancer, Bev and The Sexy Angels, before he travels to the United Kingdom for another series of shows.
He is expected to belt out some of his hottest tracks which include Dai Ndakadzidza, Tonofara ikoko featuring Bev, Game Over, Ndiwe wandinoda, Vachimhanya, Mwari Baba, Mboko and Mukwasha wemangona.
In the UK shows he will be accompanied by dancehall musician, Tocky Vibes among other renowned artistes.
In an interview, the humble chanter said he felt privileged and relieved that promoters and other renowned artistes were starting to support and recognise his works.
He was recently handed over a Honda Fit by a Harare businessman as a token of appreciation.
“This is really encouraging and I am happy that my music is being appreciated by scores of people, particularly dancehall lovers. I started my music in 2009 and I can safely say that I am maturing by each year in terms of compositions and stage performance.
“Experience has been my best teacher. I would also want to thank all my fans for having confidence in me.
“I hope to stage memorable shows from the tour that starts this weekend in Mutare,” said the bubbly Killa.
