Dancehall star QQ on mend

DANCEHALL artiste QQ is back on his 40-date, Jackhammer tour after falling ill in the United States, last Thursday.
The entertainer was reportedly seen bleeding from the nostrils and coughing up blood. He was attended to by a medical team at a hotel he was staying.

Josiah Dawkins, QQ’s father and manager, said the artiste had just landed in Atlanta from New Orleans when the incident occurred.

“I got a call that he was coughing and bleeding through the nose. A medical team was called in and he was treated. QQ told me that the flight was very cold and the doctors said that the coldness and the lengthy time he spent in the air could have contributed to the incident,” Dawkins told the Jamaica Observer yesterday.

QQ, whose given name is Kareem Dawkins, was given a few days off, but he continued his gig of the United States a day later. QQ’s Jackhammer tour began on Friday, March 13, and will end on Saturday, May 2.

In the meantime, QQ and his team are working on his 14-track debut album slated to be released later this year. – jamaicaobserver
