DARING THIEVES ARRESTED IN GOLD MINE SHAFT

A TRIO of daring thieves was arrested in a mine shaft while attempting to steal gold at Hivilah Gold Mine in Mazowe.

Chrispen Simendi, Chris Moyo and Nqobani Nkomo appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi who remanded them in custody to tomorrow pending bail considerations

The court heard that on Sunday, the three went into a gold mine shaft at Havilah Gold Mine Glenara Estates, Mazowe.

They started extracting gold ore.

The security guards heard activity in the mine and quickly reacted and arrested them.

The security guards managed to recover a sack containing about 10kg of gold ore and a pick which the three were using.
