THE Bulawayo Darts Association will play host to the Chairman’s Trips Cup at Bellevue Sports Club tonight.
Registration for the 2014 season will also close at the event. Only registered clubs will feature in the off-season tournament.
The league is expected to start on March 5.
Bulawayo Province Darts Association organising secretary, Lethukuthula Nkomo said the stage is set for the tournament.
“Everything is set for the tournament, but only a few teams have been registered so far, so those teams still interested to join the league have up to tomorrow to register,” said Nkomo yesterday.

He added that the winners of the tournament will receive their prizes at the end of the year.
Nkomo said clubs should use the tournament to fine tune their squads for the forthcoming season.

“This tournament is a warm up event for the new season which begins next week and fixtures are expected by Friday, so teams have a chance to finalise their squads,” said Nkomo.

Only nine teams have confirmed their participation.
These are Parkview Kanka, Parkview Lion, Maisonic, Bellevue, Old Nic Mine, Zimbabwe School of Mines, Archers, New Dawn and How Mine.
