admin“We are hosting our registration tournament this Wednesday at Bellevue and we expect teams to register early for the new season which is starting on 15 February.
“Team registration fees are pegged at $50 and player registration at $20. Teams will still have up to 8 February to forward six players’ names, that being the number that makes up a team,” said Nkomo.
In another development, the national darts tournament which is set for Falcon College in April is set to go ahead although the association is not satisfied with the venue hence they are looking for a venue that is closer to Bulawayo.
“The proximity of Falcon College which is in Esigodini blunts the province’s home advantage since we too have to commute to the venue.
“Time for adjusting to surroundings is needed and as such we are looking for a venue that is closer to Bulawayo so we could maximise on the home advantage,” said Nkomo.
Sponsorship is another problem the association is facing.
Hope is that Delta Beverages will chip in with a sponsorship package like they did last year.
