David and Victoria Beckham have recreated their iconic throne wedding scene to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple shared photos on Instagram, dressed in the matching purple ensembles they wore as their second outfit on the big day back in 1999.
They wrote: “Look what we found . . .”, with David adding in a second post, “Yep, still got it! Can’t believe it’s been 25 years and they still fit!”
The former England footballer and Spice Girl married on July 4, 1999 in Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland, in front of an intimate audience of 29 guests, followed by a massive star-studded bash.
One of the recreated photos showed them sitting in the crushed-velvet purple thrones that featured on their wedding day — and which quickly became part of the 1990s pop culture history.
They had originally worn the satin purple outfits for their first dance, which was to Frank Sinatra’s “It Had To Be You”.
Baby Brooklyn, who was just four months old at the time, also had a matching purple suit.
For the wedding itself, Victoria wore a champagne colour Vera Wang gown, and David opted for a gold and cream suit by British designer Timothy Everest. — Wires

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs woes mount
Sean “DIDDY” COMBS is reportedly being sued over another allegation of sexual assault and trafficking, as sources said he is also now the subject of a criminal investigation.
In the latest civil case, a former adult film star is accusing him of forcing her to be sexually intimate with a guest at a 2007 party, according to United States media.
Adria English alleges Combs also demanded she be sexually intimate with guests at other parties he held in New York and Florida.
Her lawsuit was filed and alleges he threatened to wreck her career — and that of her boyfriend — if she did not agree.
Combs faces multiple other sex lawsuits filed in the last year, and the latest claims also follow a video in May showing him attacking ex-girlfriend Cassie.
It is reported that Ms English’s 114-page complaint makes more than 30 allegations, including against the man she was allegedly forced to be sexually intimate with and a woman who facilitated the sex trafficking.
Combs’s lawyer said: “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it will not change the fact that Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone . . .” — Wires

Lupita Nyong’o finds cancer storyline healing
Lupita Nyong’o (41) found the cancer storyline in “A Quiet Place: Day One” “very therapeutic”.
The “12 Years a Slave” actress stars as a terminally ill patient in the monster apocalypse horror prequel.
The patient is in a hospice when the film starts.
Lupita said the role helped her deal with her shock over her “Black Panther” co-star and friend Chadwick Boseman, who died of colon cancer in 2020 aged 43.
She said: “It was scary to have to go there . . . (the character) is really facing their mortality, even before this apocalypse takes place, and whose life is slipping between her fingers.
“That was daunting to have to go there, psychologically and emotionally.
“In the end, it was actually very therapeutic because I had just experienced not too many years ago the death of Chadwick Boseman, which shook me to my core.
“I definitely was thinking about that a lot.
“What I came to realise is that it’s really important to be reminded of our mortality, because then we live life just a little more intentionally.
“When we think we have all the time in the world, we can really take people for granted and experiences for granted.”
Chadwick died before filming started on the comic book sequel “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, though Lupita reprised her “Black Panther” role of Nakia in the movie. — Wires.
