DAVID’S STRIKE NOT ENOUGH FOR BARROW

ZIMBABWE international forward, David Moyo, struck in the first half on Tuesday night but his goal was not enough to keep his English League Two side, Barrow, in the Carabao Cup.

Moyo, who moved from Scotland during the off-season, drew Barrow level, in their fiery cup contest against Lincoln City. The Bluebirds appeared to have won the match when Ben Whitfield thrust them into a 2-1 lead, in the 87th minute.

But Lincoln City bought some life for themselves with an equaliser, two minutes into time added on, to force a penalty shootout, which they won 3-1.
