BRENDON de Jonge continued with his fine form at the Travellers Championships held at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, in the United States over the weekend. De Jonge was playing in his 22nd official USPGA Tour tournament after he also made the cut at last week’s US Open when he finished tied on 28th place.
The Travellers Championship saw 77 players making the cut and the Zimbabwean managed to make it into the final two rounds of the US$6,2 million purse tournament.
He was tied in 42nd place after the four rounds. De Jonge is doing well this season and his scores of 70, 66, 71 and 68 were decent, if not impressive for a total five-under-par 275.
The top Zimbabwean golfer pocketed in excess of US$22 000 for his efforts and was tied with Eric Axley, Brian Harman and Brian Davies after the four rounds.
In the Championship Tour, where Nick Price is playing, the veteran golf player also managed to make the cut and finished tied in 33rd place.
