“We are very grateful for this donation and we are hopeful that this is the beginning of great things to come,” said Mugwenhe.
“Our team will work hard and we encourage people to come and see our team play as there is talent.
“We are looking forward to a great season having been given these donations and we are going to use them well. We would also like to invite the Seed-Co team to come and play with us at some point.”
Marjorie Mutemererwa, the Seed-Co group public relations and communications manager, said this was part of their social programmes.
“As a loyal and responsible corporate citizen, Seed-Co’s mandate is to give respect to the communities in which it operates in by ploughing back into the society.
“We appreciate all the efforts in commencing a football club and besides the challenge of being deaf you have maintained a good spirit of reaching the sky and I am positive that this attitude will take you to greater heights.
“We are happy to spread our assistance to the soccer team.
‘We are still venturing into sport and we started with the Chisipite volleyball team, the national Under-20 rugby team, Steven Muzhingi and now Deaf Gunners FC.
“We will continue to support Zimbabwean sport. We hope you are going to win trophies and medals.”
Clive Mugadza, Seed-Co group marketing manager, said his company took a lot of pride in working with this team.
“Winning together has become our company philosophy,” Mugadza said.
