admin28-YEAR-OLD dancehall musician from Marange district who is trying hard to make a mark in the dancehall industry has vowed to keep fighting for dominance and prove his mettle.
Being inspired by forgotten lyricist and entertainer Innocent Utsiwegota and Jamaican chanters Busy Signal and Jah Cure, the ambitious musician, Decide Razerera Marange, said he was this year going to double his effort in his quest for glory in the dancehall world.
2014 was a roller-coaster year for the Harare-based musician after he released his debut album titled Hustle Bustle.
The 18-track album carries fine tracks such as Ndoenda, Zvazviro, Godo, Zvingungundengu and Kurauone.
Videos for Zvingungundengu, Ndoenda Ndoenda and Godo caused waves on national broadcaster television ZBC last year. The tracks were recorded by several producers such as Cashlibs, Terminator, DJ Fidel and DJ Sude and Russo.
He has also received rare reviews by dancehall lovers across the country.
Marange has, however, vowed to take his dancehall music dream to a greater level by releasing hotter tracks and develop himself into a better chanter.
“I believe I am a music ambassador for my beloved district of Mutare. I am here in Harare to pursue my music career and it is just a matter of time before I produce desired results. I am so far happy with my achievements. Dancehall lovers are supporting me and I feel inspired.
“My productions are inspired by various themes that affect people’s day-to-day lives. I see myself as one of the greatest entertainers in the near future and I am working tirelessly to achieve that. I will release my new music in a few months and people should expect more from me,” said Marange.
He was born at St Andrew’s Mission in Marange before he ventured into music in 2003.
