NGEZI Platinum Stars coach Takesure “Deco” Chiragwi has said is happy to land the role of substantive coach at the Mhondoro side.
He twice served as an interim coach last season.
Chiragwi guided the club to a top-four finish after taking over from Benjani Mwaruwari.
“I am happy to be the official head coach of the club,” he told H-Metro.
“I am looking forward to doing well with the club. “I am happy because of the continuation, and we really need it.
“Understanding each other is very critical.
“The players know what the coach needs and the coach is also aware of his players’ weaknesses and strengths.”
He added:
“I would like to thank the board for having confidence in me.
“It was easy as there are a lot of very good and quality coaches in this country.
“So, for them to settle for me shows they have a lot of confidence in me and there is something in me that they like.
“So, I have to work hard to repay their confidence.” Chiragwi said the team was going to work as a unit for the club to achieve their goals.
“Football is all about hard work and nothing else.
“We have achieved what we have achieved because we have worked as a team from the technical staff to the board and players.
“What is important now is to continue with what we were doing. “Nothing has changed. We need to only work on the areas we didn’t do well in and continue with everything we were doing right.
“Next season we only need to do some corrections on a few loopholes we noticed.”
