RENOWNED events promoter Dee Nosh has reaffirmed his open door policy, saying it enables local artistes to collaborate with visiting foreign acts as part of efforts to grow and professionalise their careers.

His remarks come amid growing calls for promoters to scale up their operations by ensuring that shows headlined by international artistes deliberately create networking and performance opportunities for local musicians, allowing them to learn, connect and expand their reach.

South Africa based songstress Boohle is the latest foreign act expected to perform locally, with a show scheduled for May 9 at a leisure spot in Gwanda, a move that has generated excitement among music lovers in the town.

She will share the stage with a strong local line-up that includes Zagoe Radge, Zhezhingtons, DJ Wyqlif and DJ Blvck Operator, while Gibbons will take up hosting duties for the event.

Dee Nosh said his approach as a promoter is guided by openness and a genuine desire to see local artistes grow their brands beyond their immediate surroundings.

“It will be the first time we host Boohle in Gwanda and the line-up is my dream team ever since I started doing gigs in Gwanda.

“I have an open door policy and would love to help our local artistes grow. The artistes should also be willing to work. I am proud to have linked Calvin to Casper Nyovest,” said Dee Nosh.
