DELTA Beverages have announced a review of beer prices across the whole portfolio.
The new prices came into effect last Monday, September 15, and have already been communicated to their valued customers.
“Affordability has become a big issue for the Zimbabwean consumer and I want to acknowledge and thank sincerely our customers who have been complying with our recommended retail prices thus keeping prices affordable,” said Delta Beverages General Manager for Lager beer business unit Dr Munya Nyandoroh.
“The price of the popular quart pack has been reduced from us$1,75 to US$1,60 making it the most affordable bottled mainstream beer offering! Eagle quart, which was retailing at us$1,20, has been reduced to the magic price point of us$1,00. The magnum 660ml returnable bottle for Golden Pilsener, Zambezi Lager and Bohlingers has also been reduced from us$1,80 to us$1,75. Also reduced is Castle Lite non-returnable bottle, which was retailing at us$1.20 now down to us$1,15 including its popular 440ml can which is now us$1,25 from us$1,30,” he added.
While most outlets in the country tend to price the 375ml returnable bottle (pint) at us$1, Delta Beverages recommends a retail price of us$0,95 which is possible to achieve, given the prevalence of Rand coins. All other pack prices remain the same. Dr Nyandoroh added that: “In this review we at Delta Beverages believe that we have come up with a menu that benefits our valued consumers significantly while at the same time creating more value for our customers and partners.”
