DeMbare still to release official list

weekend.
The Harare giants submitted their squad for the African safari on Saturday night and they are reluctant to release the official list as they are yet to agree terms with some of the players they registered.

Dynamos were facing difficulties with other clubs in negotiating for new players and they have registered some of the players while talks with respective clubs are still continuing.

Dynamos secretary-general Raymond Kazembe said they have been given the green light by the clubs to register the players and should be through with all negotiations probably by end of day.

“We have submitted our list to Zifa for registration but we are not releasing the team yet because there are certain things that we would want to deal with internally before going public.

“The whole thing has been hectic and right now there are some loose ends that we need to tie up.
“Some clubs have given us the greenlight to register the players while we continue with our negotiations.

The Glamour Boys had met with frustrations in their efforts to beef up their squad.
DeMbare are set to lose midfield start Denver Mukamba to South African side Bidvest Wits and they have omitted him on their list.

Other players have also been linked with South African side with captain Tawanda Muparati being the latest in a long list.

Among the new players that are expected to play a part for the Harare giants next season are goalkeeper Artwell Mukandi, Morris Kadzola, Obey Mwerahari, Aaron Katebe and Russell Madamombe.

DeMbare will play Lesotho Correctional Services in the first leg of the preliminary round qualifiers in February.
Coach Callisto Pasuwa said they needed thorough preparation.
“What we need to do for now is to concentrate on the Lesotho team. We are saying to the guys there are no longer small team in Africa and you can even see by the way we were playing by these called small teams in our domestic league.

“Our attitude should be right and our preparations should be well so that we can advance to the first round. We don’t have to look at LCS as a team not in the top 10 of the African Champions League.

“We have been talking about friendlies outside the country so that these guys will know what to expect when they go to these games. We were talking to the executive to see if we can play big teams from South Africa, Zambia or Botswana.”
