to get any favours from the Glamour Boys at Lafarge on Sunday.
Gunners host Dynamos in an epic clash after having gone on a seven-match unbeaten run under Chunga while DeMbare have not won a league game against their rivals since 2009.
“I know Bambo as our big brother and we respect him a lot.
“But we will not be doing him any favours when we play them on Sunday.
“It’s the same with (Callisto) Pasuwa, who is also not expecting any favours from Chunga in the game,” said Diya.
Since Chunga took over in July after leaving CAPS United, Gunners have won five of their seven league games while the other two matches have ended in draws.
“To be honest, Gunners are playing very well at the moment.
“So I think the better prepared team will win the game and I hope it’s us because our preparations have gone okay.
“This is a must-win game for us although we will accept any result that will come at the end of the day,” said Diya.
He said they were not worried that their last victory over Gunners in the league match came during the first half of the 2009 season.
“I think there is always going to be a first time for everything.
“So this is what we are hoping for in breaking the jinx,” said Diya.
The Harare giants will be missing the services of defensive midfielder Milton Makopa and Tawanda Muparati for the tie.
The two players have accumulated three yellow cards but Diya says they were confident of getting good replacements.
Dynamos leftback August Mbara has not trained for the past two days due to injury and could also miss out on Sunday.
“For Mbara, we are waiting for feedback from the doctors who had advised that he should take a rest,” said Diya.
There were intense battles at the Dynamos training session yesterday with Roderick Mutuma, Cuthbert Malajila, Martin Vengesayi and Patrick Khumbula all battling for places upfront.
Peter Ngwenya is also fighting for a place after undergoing trials at Sunday Chidzambwa’s Black Leopards recently.
But Diya said it could be some time before Ngwenya features for the Glamour Boys.
“Ngwenya came to Dynamos when Lloyd (Mutasa) was the coach and he has never had a good chance to train under Callisto.
Chunga has already stoked the flames by saying his players were taking it easy and are training for just 45 minutes a day.
Gunners’ acting chairman Obert Chunga said gates at Lafarge will open as early as 10am and will close at 2pm irrespective of the number of fans inside the stadium then.
“We have pegged the rest of ground tickets at US$3 and we expect about 10 000 fans at the stadium. It’s a big game and we could not move to Rufaro because we don’t pay any levies at Lafarge since we rent the ground,” said Chunga.
