ONE of the survivors of the horrific accident, which killed nine Dynamos supporters seven years ago, Maxwell Machisi, is set to release his third album.
Titled KwaJesu Zvinoita, the album is set to be released on November 10.
The 47-year-old, who is currently using crutches, believes he will be walking on his own very soon.
He is one of the 16 Glamour Boys fans who survived the accident, which killed nine of their colleagues, in 2016.
They were on their way to Gweru for a league match against Chapungu.
“After the accident, I was in hospital for nine months, when I came out I wanted to find a way to thank God for keeping me alive.
“I then decided to praise God through music.
“After releasing my first song, people encouraged me to keep writing gospel songs.
“What inspires me to do music is that after the accident, I saw the power of the Almighty.
“My health has been improving, I was using a wheelchair and then moved to crutches and soon I will be walking on my own,” he said.
He started his musical journey in 2017 and recorded his first album, Mwari Muchengeti, in 2021.
His second album Mwari Vanoona was released last year.
“At first it was hard because I couldn’t understand most of the things I was doing but, with the support of people surrounding me, I kept going.
“At the moment, my music has not been bringing money but my wish is to have sponsors who will be able to help me,” he said.
