BOWLS veteran Denis Streak believes the Zimbabwe inter-provincial tournament will help them prepare for the Africa States bowls tournament set for September in Botswana. This year’s inter-provincials have been slated for August 8 to 12 at Avondale Bowling Club in the capital. “I am happy to be part of the Matabeleland team and to take part in the event, the inter-provincial will not only be about winning but also a very good preparatory tournament for the Africa States as the days are getting closer.

“We have been training every weekend and am sure will be able to do well,” said Streak.
The Matabeleland side will have Masters Champion Jono Evans and world number 10 singles bowler Jane Rigby.

Tom Craven, Richie Hayden, Clive Robertson, Mike Eaton are all highly rated bowlers.
