DENVER Mukamba’s brother, Clive Kawinga, says the Dynamos star is the greatest player of his generation and is more talented than Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat.
He said if it was not the demons which affected Denver at a crucial phase of his career, he would have played in the English Premiership.
Kawinga is a former Dynamos and CAPS United striker.
Musona and Billiat have had better careers than Denver − thanks to their management teams.
“I have always told people around me that Denver is the most talented player I have seen with my eyes, it’s not because I’m his brother but it is something a lot of people tell me.
“What he did on Sunday, against all odds, will be forever remembered in the history books of local football.
“No one saw it coming but I knew it because I had told people around me that this day belonged to Denver and he didn’t disappoint me.
“As a brother I know we could have done better for Denver to play in the English Premier League but there is always a reason to everything that happens in life,” said Kawinga.
The 32-year-old’s return to Dynamos has coincided with the club’s winning streak, which has now stretched to six in all competitions.
Interestingly, the minutes that Denver has been in action are less than 90 minutes as he has been used in a cameo role.
Kawinga said felt disrespected when Dynamos insisted that Denver should put on trials before they could give him a contract.
“I spoke to Saul Chaminuka when he was still in charge of Dynamos about the possibility of Denver’s return.
“I wasn’t happy at first because they gave me a condition that they wanted to put him on trials first before they could sign him.
“We also had offers elsewhere during that time but the love that we have for DeMbare is the reason we ended up entertaining the disrespect.
“And, Denver told me that Dynamos will not be relegated,” he said.
