YADAH coach Ikabort Masocha is hoping for a speedy resolution to the transfer ban imposed on the club by Fifa.

Masocha spoke after a goalless draw at home to Chicken Inn at the Heart Stadium yesterday where he took to the match with a depleted squad.

The impact of the Fifa transfer ban which was imposed last year is being felt at Yadah FC as they only had a single substitute on the bench yesterday.

Yadah were slapped with a Fifa ban last year after contractual disputes with the Brazilian trio of Joao Pedro, Juan Luciano Faria, and Deivid Pereira de Brito.

Masocha is hoping that issue is sorted early.

“We would want it to be rectified, you know, maybe like last week.

“We should actually have the numbers that are required, but this is an administration issue, so we only hope it will be sorted like yesterday,” said Masocha.

The Miracle Boys put up a solid performance to walk with a point against Chicken Inn.

Yesterday, Yadah had a dominant performance in the first half and came close to getting an early lead in the second minute when Francis Mustafa broke loose on the left flank.

But instead of going for goals he chose to play safe and squared the ball to Tanaka Chikumba, whose attempt was blocked.

After the early scare, Chicken Inn organised themselves and could also have taken the lead in the 10th minute.

The Gamecocks were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the penalty box but the resultant kick by Musahaireni missed the target by a few inches.

The match then went quite in terms of goal mouth action as both teams battled it out in the midfield.

Jerry Chipangura had an opportunity to hand the hosts a lead on the half hour mark after Chicken Inn failed to clear a corner-kick but the Yadah forward misdirected his header as it went wide.

Eight minutes after the break Chicken had another chance to break the deadlock but again Mushaireni was guilty of failing to convert.

The second half saw both sides asking questions but the final third was a letdown.

For Yadah, the coach who had to deal with a depleted squad, was happy with the point gained.

“It’s a welcome one point, it’s a huge point for us considering that we lost all the three points (against Manica Diamonds) in Mutare last week, and also considering the opponent that we were playing against.

“So getting one point, I think it’s a welcome relief for us,” said Masocha.

His opposite, Joey Antipas, was with the point the team managed to bag.

“Yadah are not an easy team to beat, especially when they’re playing at home, so the point, we will take it, it is valuable one away from home,” said Antipas.
