Destiny’s Child’s near reunion

An incredible amount of female-singing superstar power gathered in New Orleans, Louisiana, over the Fourth of July weekend.

Beyonce joined her sister, Solange Knowles, at the city’s Essence Festival on Saturday, where they met up with Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott.

With Beyonce and Kelly representing two-thirds of Destiny’s Child – only Michelle Williams was missing – Essence Festival performer Missy and host Solange had plenty of high-powered support.

The impromptu Independence Day photos saw a wide variety of clothing and style choices from the ladies, who were at St Heron’s 17 Wards Weekend Wine & Grind at the time.

Unsurprisingly, Beyonce was the most glamorous of the lot, her caramel-highlighted hair flowing loosely over a white jacket.

Pink lipstick and darkened eyes added to the 33-year-old diva’s sense of style.

Solange (29) provided something of a contrast to her older sister, thanks to a make-up-free look and some brightly coloured clothing.

Black hair worn loose and natural, Solange’s clean face was set off by a yellow shirt and a bright-pink mini-skirt.

Staying true to her reputation as a Grammy-winning rapper, 44-year-old Missy had on a fancy silver baseball cap over her lightly made-up face.

Hoop earrings peeped out from underneath the headgear, while Missy wore a black, red, and white jersey with her name across the front.

While Kelly (34) wore a casual outfit of an olive-green T-shirt with jeans, she glammed up the fashion a little with full make-up and incredibly large hoop earrings.

Kelly has made moves into professional fashion recently, after designing outfits for her seven-month-old son, Titan.

“Because I have had Titan, I have been so intrigued with children clothes and I even make some of Titan’s clothes from scratch,” she explained recently.

“So if I am this intrigued by it, I said maybe I should tap into it a little bit and see what happens,” Kelly added.

Music, sewing, and caring for Titan – Kelly’s first child with husband Tim Witherspoon – may be enough for the former Destiny’s Child star.

She made it clear that she was not in a hurry to have more kids: “I am almost at my goal weight after this baby. I want to give it another three years. I absolutely want to give him a brother or sister – just one more I will have. Just not right now.”

With the exception of Missy, all of the ladies in the photos were the parents of single children – Beyonce’s daughter with Jay-Z, Blue Ivy, is three, while Solange’s son, Daniel, is 10. – Dailymail.
