DEVELOPING: Kombi operators clash with police

COMMUTER omnibus operators are engaged in running battles with police in Epworth that have left scores of people seeking transport stranded.

The kombi operators are protesting against heavy police presence on the road.

The police are using teargas to disperse people gathered at various pick-up points in Epworth. The protesters, among them Epworth residents, are retaliating using missiles and blocking the roads.

Meanwhile, commuters in Ruwa, Zimre Park, Mabvuku and Tafara are also stranded with police engaged in running battles with the kombi crews.
