adminA Bulawayo woman bared her soul at the Bulawayo Civil Court narrating how she was heartbroken when she discovered that her live-in boyfriend lied to her about his past and that he was a devout Christian.
Hilda Matarirano was shocked the day she discovered her estranged lover Peter Marume, a taxi driver had been playing her along when he came home a�?deada�? drunk and stripped her naked before beating her up.
She said Marume was also in the habit of bringing his girlfriends home in her absence.
a�?I was cohabiting with Peter Marume. When we started staying together I used to know him as a Christian until the day he came home drunk and stripped me naked to my undergarment. While naked he started beating me up.
a�?He is also violent and used to follow me to my workplace to harass me,a�? complained Matarirano before Bulawayo magistrate Nyaradzo Ringisai.
a�?He was disrespectful as he was in the habit of bringing his girlfriends home whenever I was not around. He would threaten me whenever I asked him about those numerous girlfriends. He was also not financially supporting me,a�? said Matarirano. Matarirano who has since deserted her lover appealed to the magistrate that he should be barred from phoning her or come to her workplace and lodgings.
The seemingly exposed Marume in his response, said he was not opposed to Matariranoa��s application for a protection order.
The magistrate then ordered him not to harass the applicant or visit her at her lodgings and workplace with the intention of disturbing her peace.
